Australian Education Export Earnings in Free Fall
Education export earnings in free fall. International education has edged back above gold to reclaim third place in the league table of Australian export earners. But that says more about the fickleness of gold prices than the strength of education, which has experienced four consecutive quarters of declining revenue for the first time since records began in 1971.
The latest international trade figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that the industry’s well established seasonal revenue patterns – steady growth through the March, June and September quarters, followed by a slump in the December quarter – has been replaced by constant decline.
The March quarter this year experienced lower earnings than the December quarter, for the first time ever…..
Concern is not just that trends are mostly negative into next two or three years, but there is a need to introduce a “circuit breaker” into Australian politics of both sides, who pander to anti immigration and pro white Australia racist lobbies who have been behind orchestrated campaigns to discourage international students, immigrants, refugees etc……
